- 3/2/20252/5I saw a coat online and it said there was 1 in stock in Fargo. I looked around and couldn't find it. So I asked guy at Customer Service for help. He looked unkempt; longish, uncombed, greasy hair. I showed him my phone and asked if he could help me find the coat if it was actually in stock. He touched my phone screen to scroll and see it better. Which was fine at the moment. He then he stuck his finger in his ear and looked around and pointed to where I had been and said it would be in that area somewhere. I eventually found it. I went to another customer service desk to purchase my clothing and was told they don't match the online price and I should buy it online and pick it up. I said I don't have time for that. And then she asked what the special occasion was. I said a funeral. And then she was like "oh no I'm sorry, but you know sometimes people are old and they die" (I forgot the exact quote) and I was like "she was 30" The whole experience was awkward, gross, and not price matching online was not cool. This experience won't stop me from shopping here in the future, but it will not be my first choice and I will make sure to look online and order for pick up in the store. The clothing is fine and the prices are similar to other stores. Nothing special but not terrible. Actually it sounded as if they were talking about a supervisor. They were so busy talking ctap about that person that they literally ignored me for the five minutes I was searching for hair products right next to them! Actually I was in JC Penny for about 30 minutes total and not one employee even acknowledged me.
